As a result of the bids, it is the <br /> recommendation of the DPW Director to award a contract with Interstate Ford of <br /> Hartford'. CT for 2 2014 Ford F350 pick-up trucks and 2 Ford F550 dump <br /> trucks in the amount o $131,226.00. The bid price includes the trade-in of five <br /> DPW vehicles. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to award the hid for the DPW Trucks <br /> as referenced to Interstate Ford in the amount o $131,226.00 <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -o. <br /> Roll Cali vote: <br /> Selectman Caalane yes Selectman Richardson,yes <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Taylor,yes <br /> Selectan Sherman,yes opposed, none <br /> Environmental OversigbLt Committee—Update on Fertilizer fad: <br /> Environmental Oversight Committee Q member Michael Talbot was in <br /> attendance to request the Selectmen give support to accept the Cape Cod <br /> Commissions nomination of July 25, 2013 to propose a Cape-vide Fertilizer <br /> Management District of Critical Planning Concern. <br /> The EOC at their last meeting voted unanimously to endorse the DCPC <br /> nomination. The self-nominated DCPC will facilitate the development o <br /> `ertilim management regulations in furtherance of water resource protection. <br /> Regulating fertilize.r application is a cost effective and easy-implemented'method <br /> to address the broader nitrogen issues on Cape Cod, Fertilizer management <br /> regulations could hells to protect, maintain and repair Cape Cod's water quality. <br /> Mr. Talbot indicated the he plans on attending the public bearing on August 2 1 <br /> to consider the proposed Cape-wide DCPC for fertilizer management. '1t was <br /> noted there would not be any impact to building permits with the proposed <br /> moratorium. <br />
