Letters were submitted from
abutters waiving the need for a public hearing.
Peter Murner, co-owner of Naukabout Beer Company, was present to discuss their proposed
changes. Mr. Murner described changes to the front elevation, which would include extending
the board and batten to the front of the building to create a more rustic, barn-like appearance.
Additionally, windows proposed on the left side would appear more barn-like by swapping four
pane windows for the previously approved double hung windows. The cupola would be widened
and the roof would be changed to either asphalt shingles or a metal roof On the left side of the
elevation, the French door had been relocated to the main portion of the building to adjust the
flow of customers and additional windows added to increase natural light to the bar area. On the
right side, three windows were added above the three approved windows for viewing of the
stainless tanks. Plan and Design Review requested that the natural buffer remain for Route 130
if the windows were added. On the rear elevation, the applicant wished to replace the standard
door to a larger, wider door and remove the garage door to replace with a regular door, to allow
increased space inside for equipment.
1
