The Conservation Department was previously <br /> designated by the Board of Selectmen to coordinate the volunteer <br /> program. <br /> It as' greed that Andrew McManus,the Conservation Agent and Joyce <br /> Mason, the Town Manager would be invited to attend the March EOC <br /> meeting to ftuther review this matter. <br /> It was noted the Mashpee Environmental Coalition(MEC) i filling to <br /> manage the program to ensure its success. <br /> St rnater Biofilter: Action item Closed, <br /> (Included with Town-Vide St rmwater Management Flan) <br /> Technology Applications: No Change. <br /> e <br /> The Board of Selectmen have scheduled a Public Nearing on Bona , <br /> March l ,2009 to discuss trash and recycling options. Three scenario's <br /> for the handling of trash and recycling are considered as follows; curbside <br /> collection,the pay-as-yourthrow/save-as-yu-throve program or <br /> maintaining general stags qui. 5 <br /> .non-binding referendum question is intended for the May 2003 annual <br /> ballot to consider the three categories. <br /> Ashumet Fond Phos hones; <br /> The Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence AFC in <br /> conjunction with the Massachusetts Military Reservation(MMR) <br /> Installation Restoration Program(IRP)has recently confirmed their <br /> willingness to fund training and associated equipment needs for pond <br /> water quality monitoring. Funds are reimbursable. It was suggested the <br /> C request the Selectmen re-consider participating in the program. <br />
