Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 4, 2003 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Request for Approval—Fire Permit for Private Beach: <br /> Correspondence was received from the Wilson Grove Association dated <br /> July 28, 2003 requesting approval to obtain a fire permit for a private <br /> beach party on August 23, 2003. It was noted that they have received <br /> approval from the Fire Department for this type of function in August <br /> 2002 and July 2003. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to approve the Fire Permit for the <br /> Wilson Grove Association private beach function on Saturday, August <br /> 239 2003 pending written approval from the Fire Department. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VO : 4-1. Motion carries. <br /> Selectman Green in opposition. <br /> COMMUNICATION A CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Snow& Ice Removal: New rules ®ulations—Agenda topic <br /> RFP- Municipal Legal Services: Agenda topic. <br /> mer ency"e airs to Private Roads; <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to place the above topic on the <br /> Selectmen's agenda. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman 1arsters, <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -o. <br /> Greg Taylor, Director of Public Works was present to discuss the <br /> emergency account relative to the repairs to private roads with the Board <br /> of Selectmen. In particular, Algonquin Avenue was deemed a public <br /> safety issue. Correspondence was received from the Police and Fire <br /> Departments with respect to this regard. <br /> It was noted that there are approximately dhirty unpaved roads not <br /> maintained by the Town that are deemed public safety issues of concern. <br /> Mr. Taylor was requested to report to the Selectmen on roads anticipated <br /> o be taken to include an assessment of betterments. The matter was taken <br /> under advisement and will appear as a future agenda topic of discussion. <br />
