Mashpee Affordable Housing Committee <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> August 4,2015 at 6:30 pm <br /> Mashpee Town Hall <br /> Present: Chairman Walter Abbott, Allan Isbitz, Bruce Willard, Marie Stone <br /> Also Present: Selectman John Cotton <br /> Absent: Berkeley Johnson <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chairman Abbott opened the meeting at 6:35 p.m. with a quorum and the roll was called. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES-July 7, 2015 <br /> MOTION: Mr.Willard made a motion to accept the minutes. Mr. Isbitz seconded the motion. <br /> All voted unanimously. <br /> ELECTION <br /> MOTION: Mr. Isbitz nominated Bud Abbott as Chair. Mr. Willard seconded the motion. All <br /> voted unanimously. <br /> MOTION: Mr. Willard made a motion to nominate Berkeley Johnson as Clerk. Mr. Isbitz <br /> seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. <br /> Chairman Abbott stated that he wished to see forward action from the Town of Mashpee over the next <br /> year or he will resign from the Committee in June. The Chair expressed his frustration resulting from <br /> the recent Board of Selectmen's meeting. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> MAHPP Discussion <br /> The Chair spoke with Mr. Fudala regarding the Plan and recommended that a vote be taken to approve <br /> it, if all Committee members had thoroughly read the Plan. Once approved by the Affordable Housing <br /> Committee, the Planning Board would then vote before forwarding it to the Board of Selectmen. Mr. <br /> Fudala was hoping to acquire the three necessary signatures in order to forward the approved and <br /> signed Plan to the State. Mr. Isbitz stated that Mr. Fudala had done a good job updating the numbers, <br /> as well as identifying the state of the need. There was discussion regarding Paul Ruchinskas' <br /> beneficial work and contributions, and his recent retirement from the Cape Cod Commission. <br /> MOTION: Mr.Isbitz made a motion to accept the Affordable Housing Production Plan as <br /> submitted to the Affordable Housing Committee in August. Mr. Willard seconded the motion. <br /> There was discussion regarding the number of affordable housing units in Mashpee, now totaling 298 <br /> units. There was also discussion about subsidized housing that would contribute to the overall <br /> affordable housing count. <br /> All voted unanimously. <br /> Selectmen's Meeting Report <br />
