s <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 20, Zoo <br /> Capital IMrov men Proms Discussion: (continued) <br /> The following infrastructure repair project incorporates individual <br /> department requests related to paving of facilities into a single project for <br /> bonding purposes. In F o , the Department of Public Works has <br /> proposed to reconstruct Frank Hicks Drive. Work involves the <br /> realignment and signali ation of the intersection of Frank Hicks Drive and <br /> Job's Fishing Road and the reconstruction of Frank Hicks Drive to provide <br /> access to the Police Station, Fire Station, the new Senior Center,the <br /> Mashpee Boys and Girls Club and Mashpee Commons. <br /> The repaving of the roads and driveways in the Transfer Station are <br /> proposed in the Mra tructure project. Settling has occurred in various <br /> areas. Maintenance of the pavement surface is required for continued <br /> compliance with the permit issued by the Department ent of Envirorunental <br /> Protection for the operation of the Transfer Station. <br /> Also included in the bond proposal is the ICC Coombs School pavement <br /> project. The area is proposed for re-design due to the inadequate flow of <br /> vehicles, high volume of visitors and need to separate buses and cars. The <br /> issue has been deemed a high priority and safety issue of the School <br /> Department. <br /> The bond project as'proposed for fiscal year 2004 amounts to $1,141,500. <br /> (enclosed) <br /> The Selectmen requested the Treasurer prepare a debt schedule for the <br /> above referenced road bonding/infrastructure project proposal. <br /> It was agreed that the capital improvement prograrn as outlined would be <br /> further discussed at the next scheduled meeting, <br />
