Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 9, 2003 <br /> NEWBUSINESS: <br /> Proclamation— Senior Citizen of the Year: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to proclaim June 12,2003 as <br /> William "'Bill"Johnston Day in honor of this dedicated individual as <br /> Mashpee Senior Citizen of the Year. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: 'Unanimous. -o. <br /> Recommendation for Appointment—TeplporM laborers: <br /> Correspondence was received from the director of Public works dated <br /> May 19, 2003 recommending the reappointment of temporary laborers for <br /> fiscal year 2004. <br /> Motion made by Selectman l arsters to reappoint the following <br /> temporary seasonal laborers; <br /> Marcus Hendricks Robert Dias <br /> Adam Peters Jamaal Branch <br /> for a term to expire September 1, 2003, <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Recommendation for Appointment-Clerk_of Works/Senior Center: <br /> The interviewing committee seeping qualified candidates for the Clerk of <br /> Works for the Mashpee Senior Center rank ordered candidates for the <br /> Selectmen's consideration based upon qualifications, experience, and <br /> ability to perform as well as reporting procedures. Reconunendations <br /> i were presented in a memorandum dated June 2. 2003 to the Board from <br /> the Assistant Town Administrator. <br /> The Selectman agreed to defer approval to the next scheduled meeting to <br /> review the availability of the 1lashpee candidate under consideration. <br />
