8 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 14, 2003 NEW BUSINESS:' <br /> Police Department: <br /> Recommendation for'Dismissal—Public Safety Dispatcher: <br /> Acting Chief of Police Al Todino was present to recommend the <br /> Selectmen dismiss Dispatcher trainee Muise-A. id from employment. It <br /> was noted that the employee was unable to perform the basic minimum <br /> requirements of a public safety dispatcher during her extended training. <br /> The employee of reference was not in attendance, but did receive notice of <br /> this matter in accordance with the requirements of general law. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to dismiss Muise-Abid from <br /> employment with the Ma.shpee Police Department as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous, - . <br /> Selectman Cahalane abstained. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Waterways Commission—Cgpe Wind Farre: <br /> Waterways Commission Chairman Jim Hates was present to discuss his <br /> memorandum of July 8, 2003 relative to the proposed Cape Wind project <br /> with members of the Board of Selectmen. Recommendations opposing <br /> the issue were disclosed in the correspondence. <br /> The Selectmen agreed to obtain the endorsement of the Conservation <br /> Commission as it relates to the negative impacts of the proposal. <br /> The recommendations as received were suggested to strongly oppose the <br /> Wind Farm and be forwarded to applicable agencies to publicly convey <br /> the Ton's position. The Selectmen applauded the Waterways <br /> Commission for their review and recommendations to oppose the project <br /> s it would create only negative impacts on the waterways and provide n <br /> benefit to the Town of Ma hpee. <br />
