Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 14, 2003 <br /> Present: Selectman Reveille, Selectman Green, Selectman Cahalane, <br /> Selectman Marsters, Selectman Taylor <br /> Town Administrator Joyce Mason <br /> Assistant Town Administrator Jinn Tarr <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Leveille at 6:00 p.m. <br /> Town Hall Conference Room##1 <br /> MINUTES: <br /> Tuesdgy, June 24 2003 Regular Session: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve the Regular Session <br /> minutes of Tuesday, June 24, 2003 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5- . <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS. <br /> Mav Institute—Pro sed Rand Transfer: <br /> Representatives from the May Institute,the lamest provider of services for <br /> the developmentally disabled on Cape Cod were present to discuss <br /> proposal to provide a residential home and greenhouse facility for the <br /> disabled in the Town of 1lshpee. <br /> The hone would house four developmentally disabled adults, and qualify <br /> for four credits in the Chapter 40B affordable housing inventory. <br /> greenhouse facility is also proposed for construction to provide for <br /> vocational training and community service activities. <br /> Options under consideration include a site on the corner of Route 28 and <br /> Cross Road adjacent to the South Cape Resort that would house both <br /> facilities. The second option would consider a home on 108 Orchard <br /> Road to include the greenhouse building on Town land adjacent to the <br /> Boys and Girls Club and planned Senior Center. <br /> The advantages of having both the greenhouse and home on one piece o <br /> property were disclosed. The proposal would consider the Ton deeding <br /> the property to the May Institute with restrictions similar to the Habitat for <br /> Humanity which would require the property to remain as an affordable <br /> hone. <br />
