4 <br /> Board ofSelectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> September 22, Zoo <br /> GEM vehicle Usage: <br /> The Board of Selectmen was in receipt of submissions from departments <br /> outlining their interest and use for the GENT vehicles that are available to <br /> the Town. Five GENT vehicles were obtained by the DPW through a grant <br /> program with Global Electric Motorcars aimler-Chrysler. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to allow the following departments <br /> to benefit from the use of the GSI vehicles; <br /> DPW Police Fire Harbormaster <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE; Unanimous. -o. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> DPW- Wheeler Road epa.lrs: <br /> Greg Taylor, Director of Public Worts was present to request the <br /> Selectmen approve repairs to Wheeler load. A resident of the road has <br /> offered to provide up to $470 for maintenance improvements. The work <br /> to be performed by the DPW was outlined 'n the memorandum of <br /> September 11, 2003. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve the road repairs to <br /> Wheeler Road as defined. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green, <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -o. <br /> Request for 111F Benefits—Police a artment: <br /> request was received from the Chief of Police dated September 5, 2003 <br /> for approval of benefits 'n accordance with the provisions of Chapter 4 1, <br /> Section l l 1F relative to m* jury on duty for Patrolman Alcott Tobey, Jr. <br /> The employee suffered ury as a result of a motor vehicle crash that <br /> occurred on August 13, 2003. officer Tobey returned to full duty on <br /> August 15, 2003. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to approve the request for 111 <br /> Benefits for Patrolman Alcott Tobey,Jr. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -o. <br />
