Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> October 7, 2003 <br /> Present: Selectman Le eille, Selectman Cahalane, Selectman Taylor <br /> Town Administrator Joyce Mason <br /> Assistant Ton Administrator Jinn Marr <br /> Absent; Selectman Green, Selectman Marsters <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Leveille at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Town Hall, Conference Room#1. <br /> MINUTES: <br /> S: <br /> September 22, 2003 Regular and Executive Sessions; <br /> The above referenced minutes were deferred for quorum purposes. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS. <br /> Public Comment: Ione at this time. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Request to A <br /> pply for Grant—Municl l Recycling Program. <br /> Catherine Laurent, Assistant DPW Director was present to request the <br /> Board approve a grant application from the Department of Environmental <br /> Protection for the purchase of limited recycling equipment and for the <br /> distribution of recycling education materials. <br /> The Town applied for the grant in previous years and has received both <br /> equipment and education materials. Due to budget constraints, specific <br /> equipment the Town may be interested in is no longer offered. The grant <br /> however will enable Mashpee to develop and/or mail recycling brochures <br /> to residential households. At a nminimurn, the grant would pay the cost of <br /> mailing the existing recycling brochures. Applications must be received <br /> by October 1 t'for consideration. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to accept the FY04 Municipal <br /> Recycling Grant application for consumer education and outreach <br /> materials as proposed. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor, <br /> VOTE; Unanimous. 3-0, <br />
