Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> November IT, 2003 <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Constable Applications: <br /> timeline of the two Constable applications received for one appointment <br /> was submitted to the Selectmen for consideration. The clarification was <br /> outlined in a rnemorandunn from the'Town Admffiistrator addressed to the <br /> Selectmen dated November 12, 2003. <br /> Motion-made by Selectman 'Taylor to appoint Jason L. Brooks as <br /> Constable of the Town of Mashp e# <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -0. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Ielest to Increase 'Transfer.Station Tees: <br /> Catherine Laurent, Assistant Director was present to discuss permit and <br /> disposal fees at the 1lashpee Transfer Station with the Board of <br /> Selectmen. The Board was requested to consider an increase in the permit <br /> fee. It was noted that the current Transfer Station permit fee has not <br /> changed in over four years although costs associated with the operation of <br /> the facility have increased each year. <br /> The Selectmen agreed to defer the permit fee proposal to the next <br /> scheduled meeting. The Director was requested to prepare an RFP for <br /> operation of the 'Transfer Station. <br /> Disposal fees relative to the removal of bully items such as tires, <br /> electronics and furniture were also reviewed. An increase in these fees, i <br /> approved would become effective January I, 2004, IIs, Laurent outlined <br /> i her proposal in a memorandum to the Selectmen dated November 10, <br /> 2003. <br />
