Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> December 1, Zoo <br /> Present: Selectman Leveille, Selectm an Green, <br /> Selectman Cahalane, Selectman'Taylor <br /> "Town Administrator Joyce Mason <br /> Absent: Selectnian Marsters <br /> Meeting Called to order by chairman Leveille at 6:25 p.m. <br /> Town Hall, Conference Room#1. <br /> . <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS <br /> Public Comment: <br /> Glenn Santos, Mashpee resident and Board of Health member updated the <br /> Selectmen with regards to the 'Transfer Station as it relates to the disposal <br /> of construction and demolition materials. <br /> The Department of Envirorumental Protection is proposing to implement <br /> considerable cost increases for C & o materials such as asphalt, brick, <br /> metal, cardboard and wood. <br /> Marcia King, Mashpee"s representative to the Assembly of relegates <br /> indicated that she would discuss the concept of regionalization at the next <br /> meeting. It was noted that the issue is under present review by the Cape <br /> Cod Managers Association. Greg Taylor, Director of Public Works was <br /> requested to give input with respect to this regard. <br /> Public Hearin —Tax Classification: <br /> Selectman Cahaane stepped down for the above referenced Hearing. <br /> Selectman Leveille opened the Public Hearing to hear comments on the <br /> allocation of the tax levy by classification of property. The purpose of <br /> said hearing is to solicit comments on whether each classification o <br /> property should have a different tax rate or whether the tax nate should be <br /> the same for all qualifications. <br /> Members of the Water District Commissioners were in attendance. David <br /> Bailey, Director of Assessing vas-present to discus&the annual tax <br /> classification and recommended a motion to maintain a single tax rate and <br /> keep all else as it has been in the past. <br />
