March 6, 2017 <br /> <br />Present: Rodney Collins, Andrew Gottlieb, Dawn Thayer, Mike Richardson, Chuck Gasior <br /> <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Collins at 7:12 p.m. <br /> Mashpee Town Hall, Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br />Public Hearing: FY 2018 Capital Improvement Program: <br />The Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Committee met jointly with the Board of Selectmen to <br />review the Capital Improvement Program for fiscal year 2018. The Board of Selectmen opened <br />the Public Hearing on the proposed Capital Improvement Plan for Fiscal Year 2018. The Hearing <br />notice was read into the record in accordance with posting procedures. <br />A breakdown of the total $812,167 capital appropriation was identified by Town Manager Rodney <br />C. Collins who serves as Chairman of the CIP Committee. Funding for the FY18 capital budget <br />supports the continuation of the vehicle lease program under the Police Department and <br />Department of Public Works. The capital appropriation to be funded with available Free Cash, the <br />use of Ambulance Receipts, MCAT funding and the Recreation Revolving Fund also includes the <br />purchase of a new ambulance, the replacement of DPW equipment which includes one vehicle <br />purchase and the final payment for the Recreation Department passenger van. Technology <br />upgrades and improvements at the Town Hall, the Fire Department and School Department will <br />also be supported in the capital outlay. <br />The CIP program for fiscal year 2018 is referenced as Article #3 on the Annual May Town <br />Meeting warrant. Being no comment, the Board motioned to close the Public Hearing. <br />Motion made by Selectman Sherman to close the Public Hearing. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb, yes Selectman Cahalane, yes Selectman O’Hara, yes <br /> Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman Sherman, yes Opposed, none <br />Motion made by Selectman Sherman to support the Capital Improvement Program for <br />Fiscal Year 2018 in the amount of $812,167 as submitted. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb, yes Selectman Cahalane, yes Selectman O’Hara, yes <br /> Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman Sherman, yes Opposed, none <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Kathleen M.
