Commercial Fishing,Exemption...This increases maximum value of boat/equipment from $10;000 to-$50;000 and in order to qualify fishermen now only have to earn '/ of their income from commercial fishing instead of all income from commercial fishing. • Exemption Applications...Deadline for filing is April 1st—no longer 3 months after billing, etc. • Residential Exemption... Board of Selectmen may now choose up to a 35% of a valuation shift to a resident taxpayers, instead of the previous amount of up to 20%. • Senior Work Off Abatement...amount Selectmen can choose has been raised from $1,000 to $1,500 maximum earned. • Veterans Exemption...A conservator, spouse, etc. now has authority to apply for the veteran exemption on behalf of the veteran. Motor Vehicle Abatement Application for Enterprise FM Trust MOTION: Gregg Fraser motioned to deny the motor vehicle abatement application for Enterprise FM Trust as presented. Sheldon Holzer seconded the motion. VOTE: Yes-3. Roll Call Vote: Paul Andrews, yes; Gregg Fraser, yes; Sheldon Holzer, yes. Request from Tax Collector/Treasurer to Abate Uncollectible Real Estate Taxes The request list provided was reviewed and No. 20160825-8of58 (a-f) assigned thereto. MOTION: Gregg Fraser motioned to approve the request to abate the uncollectible taxes as recommended with the stamp on No. 20160825-8of58 (a-f). Sheldon Holzer seconded the motion. VOTE: Yes-3. Roll Call Vote: Paul Andrews, yes; Gregg Fraser, yes; Sheldon Holzer, yes. NEXT MEETING—To be determined.
