mn -PL <br /> MASHPEE ENVIRONMENTAL OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE <br /> MINUTES <br /> MAY 10, 2017 - 6:30 P.M. <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALL <br /> Present: Michael Talbot, Dale McKay,Joseph Cummings, Katelyn Cadoret,Andrew <br /> Gottlieb <br /> Absent: Andrew McManus, Rick York <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chairman Michael Talbot called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES: <br /> April 12, 2017 <br /> Motion: Mr. Gottlieb moved to approve the April 12 minutes, seconded by Joe Cummings. <br /> 5-0 <br /> COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> None <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> • Issues for the EOC to tackle next (hold until later in the meeting) <br /> ACTION ITEMS UPDATE <br /> Mashpee CWMP: <br /> Mashpee Nutrient Control Bylaw; Update on next steps <br /> The Chair noted the Mashpee Nutrient Control By-law passed at town meeting. It was noted that <br /> the bylaw is now sent to the Attorney General's Office for approval. The Attorney General has <br /> 90 days to approve. <br /> Estuary Restoration/Shellfish Propagation; Update <br /> Mr. Gottlieb noted the funding was reduced at town meeting because there was carryover <br /> funding from last year. <br /> DRI Review; IMA's with other towns: Update <br /> Mr. Gottlieb stated he has a final draft of the Intermunicipal Agreement for review with <br /> Barnstable and Sandwich for Popponesset Bay and we agreed that if we are all satisfied the <br /> objective is getting it signed this summer. Mr. Gottlieb gave a brief synopsis of the plan on how <br /> much nitrogen we have to take out of Popponesset and Waquoit Bay, We are working out a deal <br /> with Barnstable and Sandwich that has everybody legally bound to manage their portion of the <br /> load. This portion is for Popponesset and there will be a separate deal for Waquoit in Falmouth. <br /> He noted the Watershed Nitrogen Plan is on the Mashpee website. <br />
