Minutes of Meeting of e Mashpee Plan Review Committee Held Tuesday, February 7, 2017 Mashpee Town Hall Waquoit Meeting Room Plan Review Members Present: Michael Mendoza , Building Commissioner Rodney Collins, Town Manager Tom Fudala, Town Planner Glen Harrington, Health Agent John Phelan, Deputy Fire Chief Catherine Laurent, DPW Director Scott Carline, Police Chief Audience: Sam Houghton — Mashpee Enterprise Michael Mendoza called the meeting to order at 9:07 a.m. 387 Nathan Ellis Highway, Unit 11 Forty-Six & 2 Tattoo Studio Owner— Joseph Vittorini Representative — Mark Gildea_ Request to operate a Tattoo Studio Joseph and Vaughn Vittorini appeared. Joe Vittorini said they have a tattoo studio with 2 seats_ They are putting in partition walls to follow health code guidelines. Committee Comments Glen Harrington advised that the Applicant has been to Board of Health Meetings and has been approved by the Board of Health. Glen said at the meetings the floor plans were reviewed; the medical and sanitation topics were discussed; storage of inks and disposal of the inks have all been reviewed. The Board of Health had a hired Engineer look at the septic flow; they did a comparative study; and it was acceptable so the Board of Health is all set. Jack Phelan asked whether partitions go up to the ceiling. Joe Vittorini responded "no, about a foot below the ceiling". Joe Vittorini said smoke detectors run right down the center of the unit. He said he thinks they have 2 smoke strobe detectors--one at the rear and one at the front. Jack Phelan advised the Fire Department must see the layout to determine requirements. Joe Vittorini said he will provide a layout to Jack Phelan. Jack asked about autoclave use. Joe Vittorini said they use all disposals and a company comes in to pick-up the disposals.
