Committee Comments (continued)

Jack Phelan said that last week he discussed with Tom Feronti and there are 2 issues to be
addressed—(1) Make sure the access pathway is wide enough for emergency access; and (2)
Lighting was not finalized so Fire Department wants to make sure there is enough emergency exit
lighting such as basic power packs, etc. should something happen in the evening and we have to get
people out of there.

CONCLUSION:

Motion: John Phelan motioned to accept the Plan as presented.
Discussion: Suggested to amend with condition.
Motion: Glen Harrington motioned to accept the Plan as presented with the conditions about
bathroom location signage; emergency pathway access; and emergency exit lighting.
Vote: 5-Yes. Unanimous.
Scott Carline seconded the amended motion.
Roll Call Vote:
Scott Carline, yes. Eventually may move it
someplace else within Mashpee Commons—but no plans for that at this time.
 Using for performances similar to what was done in the past at Mashpee Commons—usually
end about 8 at night.
 Most musical—not acoustical; not amplified.
 No curtains; there is no water coming to the structure.
 Will have a fire extinguisher; and will put emergency lights inside.

Committee Comments

Scott Carline expressed that a priority and concern would be noise level. Scott said Mashpee
Commons has been good about this and has always worked well with the Police Department in the
past. John Renz said there should be no problem with noise, but if any issues at all arise just contact
him as done in the past and it will be dealt with.

Glen Harrington said there should be signage during the events so the public knows where public
restrooms are located.

2
