John Renz said the
temporary golf course would be on the site between Emerald Physicians building and the Library; and
he showed the Site Plan. Mr. Renz said the golf course would be similar to the one at Popponesset
Marketplace. John Renz provided the following details:
• Using Astroturf and railroad ties—all of which will be removed at the end of the season.
• Season would be between April-December, depending on weather. Then would be removed
and stored off-site.
• Stringing some tea lights in the trees.
• 8X8 storage shed will be used by one person selling tickets; and that will be removed at the
end of the season as well.
• This would require 20 parking spaces; Mashpee Commons has approximately 30 extra spaces
along Steeple Street so parking requirements would be met.
Committee Comments
Mike Mendoza advised that Design Review held a meeting earlier this morning and they placed a
continuance on this application because they require more information.
Glen Harrington said some signage should be placed on the building and also at the miniature golf
course site to show where the public bathrooms are located.
