The Director4hanked DPW who did repairs on the van and the ongoing maintenance. <br /> She also thanked them for putting in the new irrigation shed and the work on the grounds. <br /> The Director noted the town's floater is filling in at the front desk since the mature <br /> worker training position has not been filled. She noted the principal Clerk and Office <br /> Assistant took a training course on Access database and they will also be taking <br /> additional courses on this software. The Director encouraged the members to go to the <br /> new town web page. She changed the Council on Aging's mission statement on the <br /> webpage so people better understand their charge. <br /> The Director met with the Volunteer Coordinator to continue to work on updating the <br /> database and also the planning of the volunteer breakfast in June, She said she prepared a <br /> timeline of the history of the Mashpee Senior Center and met with the volunteer who will <br /> be putting the information into a narrative form. <br /> The Director attended several meetings: Department head, staff, COAST, Support <br /> Network of Cape Cod Program Committee. She also met with the Outreach Coordinator, <br /> the Human Services Director and staff from the Visiting Nurse Association of Cape Cod. <br /> The Director attended a public hearing sponsored by Elder Services of Cape Cod and the <br /> Islands at which she identified unmet needs for the seniors. <br /> The Director reviewed her goals: plan with the gardening volunteers for the new planting <br /> season at the senior center. Meet with Elder Services of Cape Cod and the Islands staff, <br /> along with other Cape Councils on Aging staff and assist volunteer Coordinator with <br /> June's volunteer recognition event. <br /> Motion: Mr. Cornelssen moved to accept the Director's report,seconded by Norah <br /> McCormick. Vote unanimous 6-0 <br /> 'T'REASURER'S REPORT <br /> Director Waterman distributed the budget report and briefly reviewed the numbers and <br /> noted the present budget ends on June 30. <br /> Motion: Ginny McIntyre moved to accept the Treasurer's Report, seconded by <br /> Ernie Cornelssen. Vote unanimous 6-0 <br /> VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR REPORT <br /> Director Waterman distributed the volunteer coordinator report for April. She noted the <br /> Volunteer Recognition Breakfast is June 10 at 10:30. She also noted the Center has <br /> approximately 200 volunteers, Recognition will be given to the Volunteer of the Year <br /> and the Rookie of the Year. <br />
