Conservation Commission Minutes <br /> Thursday, February 25, 2016 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall <br /> Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> Present: Brad Sweet, Robert Anderson, Dale McKay, John Rogers, Mark Gurnee, <br /> Conservation Agent Drew McManus, Recording Secretary Judy Daigneault <br /> Absent: Bud Shaw <br /> Chairman Brad Sweet opened the meeting at 5:55 p.m. <br /> No Items from the Public <br /> PRE/POST-HEARING AGENDA: <br /> Minutes: January 28, 2016 <br /> Motion: Mr. Anderson moved to approve the January 28, 2016 minutes, seconded by <br /> John Rogers. Vote unanimous 5-0 <br /> Vote: Request to release funds for wooden guardrail extension on Ashumet <br /> Road/Johns Pond Conservation area. <br /> The Agent referred to two quotes provided from DPW. The quotes are to extend the <br /> guardrails at Ashumet Road and Back Road due to the fact that vehicles are able to go <br /> around the gates that are presently there. The quote for Back Road is $7,820 and Ashumet <br /> Road is $4,784. The funding would come out of the Land and Maintenance Account and <br /> requires a vote from the commissioners to release these funds. <br /> Motion: Robert Anderson moved to release funds from the Land and Maintenance <br /> Account as requested for wooden guardrails to be installed at the Johns Pond <br /> Conservation area, Seconded by John Rogers. Vote 5-0. <br /> Update: Upper Quashnet Restoration (development of RFP) <br /> The Agent gave an update on the Upper Quashnet Restoration. He said he was working on <br /> assembling a reference package from other agencies for the commissioners on permit <br /> requirements He is scheduling another meeting of the Steering Committee to work on an <br /> RFP and to discuss the up and down stream erosion associated with the Johns Pond fish <br /> ladder. <br /> Additional Topics <br /> Hearings: <br /> 6:00 Antonio and Helen Donato, 18 Cricket Way, Proposed construction of pier, <br /> ramp and float structure and retaining wall. Continued from 1114116 to allow time for <br /> more detailed plans (as per Acting Harbormaster's request):'' Engineer requests <br /> additional continuance to 3110/16 @ 6:09 p.m. NOI <br />
