MASHPEE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND INDUSTRIAL CORPORATION <br /> MINUTES OF MEETING HELD <br /> MARCH S, 2016 <br /> TOWN HALL—ADMINISTRATIVE CONFERENCE ROOM <br /> Present: Carol Sherman, Chairman Absent: Bob Cobuzzi <br /> Terrie Cook <br /> Mary LeClair <br /> Robyn Simmons <br /> Dino Mitrokostas <br /> Denise Dutson <br /> Also Present: Selectman Tom O'Hara <br /> Katherine Hildebrandt (Good Clothing Co.) <br /> 1. Carol Sherman, Chairman, opened the meeting at 5:30 p.m. <br /> 2. Approval of Minutes— February 16, 2016 <br /> Motion: Terrie Cook moved to approve the February 16, 2016 Minutes, <br /> seconded by Denise Dutson. Vote 5-0-1 with Mary LeClair abstaining. <br /> 3. Old Business <br /> 2. Katherine Hildebrandt (Good Clothing Co.)—discussion regarding <br /> potential funding assistance and/or support from ERIC. <br /> The Chairman introduced Katherine Hildebrandt from Good Clothing Company. <br /> Katherine Hildebrandt presented a formal request to FDIC requesting and seeking <br /> a grant in the amount of$25,000 from EDIC to help with their current expansion <br /> and purchase of machinery for growth and training. She noted that their <br /> expansion in Fall River will have a decision tomorrow. <br /> Chairman Sherman stated EDIC has to proceed thru their Act <br /> Establishing the Mashpee Economic Development and Industrial Corporation and <br /> will have EDIC's counsel look at this Act to see what we can and cannot do. <br /> Terrie Cook noted that EDIC will need to have policies and procedures in place <br /> before they proceed. <br /> Tom Mayo stated he forwarded Katherine Hildebrandt's request to Leslie <br /> Richardson from the Cape Cod Commission and she reviewed our enabling <br /> legislation. She is concerned we actually may not be allowed per our enabling <br /> legislation to grant money. He recommended that this board seriously consider <br /> referring the legislation to Pat Costello, EDIC counsel and ask him for a one page <br /> summary on what our restrictions and abilities are.
