7:35 PM —Site Plan and Building Permit Review: 58 Great Neck Road South (Northbridge at Mashpee. <br /> Glen Harrington commented that this is an 82-bed memory care facility proposed at 58 Great Neck Road <br /> South. It is to the left of the power lines by Windchime Condominium on Great Neck Road South. The facility <br /> actually shares the driveway to the Mashpee Commons treatment plant. This project has been reviewed at Site <br /> Plan Review and the Cape Cod Commission. Mr. Harrington and Veronica Warden have reviewed the floor <br /> plans for the food facilities. There is a main kitchen, a bar/lounge, a cafe, and a breakfast bar. The dumpsters <br /> are on a slab and enclosed, and the drainage has a subsurface component which meets the Board of Health <br /> requirements. <br /> Albert Crepeau with EGA Architects in Newburyport, Massachusetts, representing 58 Great Neck Road South, <br /> introduced himself to the Board. <br /> Mr. Crepeau illustrated to the Board the layout, the location, and the appearance of the building from the road. <br /> He explained that this is a 2-story wood framed assisted living facility. It will encompass common use spaces, <br /> office administration spaces, assisted living apartments, and a memory support neighborhood component <br /> within the building. There are multiple dumpsters for solid waste and for recycling. <br /> Mr. Harrington remarked that there is main kitchen and a breakfast bar. The breakfast bar is set up to serve <br /> meals. Even though the dishes will be removed to the main kitchen, a hand sink is required for hand washing. <br /> The cafe is not considered a service area; therefore, a hand sink will not be needed. <br /> Kalliope Egloff expressed concerns on the unused or unwanted medication. <br /> Jenna Anderson, senior executive director of Laurelwood at The Pinehills for the Northbridge Companies, <br /> introduced herself to the Board. <br /> Ms. Anderson remarked that medications enter the building either by the family or by North Falmouth <br /> Pharmacy which is utilized by the facility. The medication is disposed by the pharmacy if delivered by them, or <br /> by the family that provided the medication to their family member. <br /> Brian Baumgaertel made a motion that the Board of Health approve the building permit for 58 Great Neck <br /> Road South, Northbridge at Mashpee, with the condition that the $200 plan review fee be paid and the <br /> operators of the food establishment obtain a food establishment permit from the Board of Health prior to <br /> opening. Lucy Burton seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously approved. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. Sign Expense Warrants. The Board members signed the expense warrants. <br /> 2. Review/Approve BOH Public Session Minutes: October 6, 2016. <br /> Lucy Burton made a motion that the Board of Health approve the Public Session minutes of October 6, 2016, <br /> as amended. Brian Baumgaertel seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously approved. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. Sanitary Code Violation: Deer Crossing Condominium Unit U-137. <br /> Glen Harrington stated that the Board of Health last discussed Unit U-137 Deer Crossing Condominium on <br /> September 15, 2016. At that meeting the Board had requested that the Health Agent visit the property weekly <br /> and to have the oxygen tanks removed or secured. The weekly visits have occurred, and the oxygen tanks are <br /> considered an emergency supply and are required to remain. Photographs are taken each time the health <br /> agent visits the property. <br /> The compliance status of the property is to be reviewed at this meeting. The status of the property hinges upon <br /> the aid that the owner gets as the owner is not physically capable of performing any work. The list of people <br /> involved are: <br /> 2 <br />
