BOARD OF LIBRARY TRUSTEES MEETING ✓�c�� TUESDAY,DECEMBER 13,2016 MASIIPEE LIBRARY CONFERENCE ROOM Present: Joan Lyons,Carlo D'Este, Kate Milde,Mark Wright,and Mary LeClair(arrived at 4:06 p.m.). Absent: Allen Waters. Also Present: Kathy Mahoney–Library Director Joan Lyons,Vice Chair, called the meeting to Order at 4:01 p.m. Public Discussion—None. Friends of the Mashpee Library Kate Milde reported that the Friends are working hard. The Friends held the book sale, but it did not generate much of a turnout. Joan Lyons asked whether Friends listings have been updated yet. Both Kate and Kathy explained that the updating is a huge task. Joan suggested that perhaps some of the Trustees would be willing to assist in this effort. Approval of Minutes With the arrival of Mary LeClair,the Trustees reviewed the minutes of October 25, 2016. Mark Wright motioned to approve the Regular Meeting minutes of October 25,2016 as presented. Motion was seconded by Mary LeClair. VOTE: Yes-3;2-Abstain. Roll Call Vote: Mark Wright,yes Carlo D'Este, abstain Mary LeClair,yes Kate Milde,abstain Joan Lyons,yes Brief Recess...Joan Lyons called for a brief recess to enable the Trustees to recognize the Library Director and to thank her for all her efforts in overseeing the Library operations. The meeting resumed. Library Director's Report The Library Director's report for the month of November was reviewed, including circulation statistics. Kathy said interviews were conducted to hire a part-time Circulation Assistant to fill a vacant position, and she hopes to have a new employee on board soon. The Trustees asked that Kathy follow-up on when posting will be done for the full-time position. Kathy reminded the Trustees that the Library,will be closed Saturday,December 24'x'and all Town buildings will be closed Monday,December 26"'
