Mashpee - Wakeby Lake Management <br /> Committee <br /> January 28, 2016 <br /> 7:30 PM <br /> Mashpee Town Hall <br /> Meeting called by: Debi McManus <br /> Type of meeting: Monthly <br /> Secretary Donald MacDonald <br /> Attendees: Members: Brian Mauro, Donald MacDonald, <br /> Guests: <br /> The minutes of the November 19, 2015 meeting were accepted as written after a motion by Brian Mauro <br /> and second by Don MacDonald. <br /> Agenda topics <br /> [Agenda topic 1] Lake level/River outflow <br /> Discussion: Barbara did the lake measurements on December 1St and 15"'. Both times,the level was at <br /> 55.2 ft. above sea level and there were 11.5 inches of water flowing over the board closest to the lake. <br /> Levels were also done on January 1"and 15th and were at 55.4 and 55.3 feet above sea level with 12 and <br /> 12.5 inches of water flowing over the board. <br /> Conclusions: During December and January,the lake ranged between 55.2 and 55.4 feet above sea level. <br /> [Agenda topic 21 Harbormaster Position <br /> Discussion: The Harbormaster's position was posted the beginning of the year. The town is looking for a <br /> candidate with nitrogen management to assist the proposed Natural Resource Dept. in the off season. The <br /> Town manager expects to fill the position well before summer. <br /> Conclusions: The Harbormaster's position is posted. The plan is to appoint someone with nitrogen <br /> management knowledge. <br />
