Minutes of Meeting of <br /> Mashpee Plan Review Committee <br /> Held Tuesday, August 16, 2016 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> Plan Review Members Present: <br /> Michael Mendoza, Building Commissioner <br /> Andrew McManus, Conservation Agent <br /> Glen Harrington, Health Agent <br /> Rodney Collins, Town Manager <br /> Joel Clifford, Fire Department <br /> Catherine Laurent, DPW Director <br /> Scott Carline, Police Chief <br /> Michael Mendoza called the meeting to order at 9:01 a.m. <br /> 27 Ships Rudder Drive, Map 69, Parcel 82. <br /> Yvonne M. Sullivan requests a customary home <br /> Occupation for a dog grooming business <br /> Plan Review under the By-Law 174-251(5) <br /> Yvonne Sullivan appeared and said she wrote a letter to explain her care of animals. She <br /> commented that: <br /> • Will be done in the basement. Whatever Town requires regarding entryway, she will do-- <br /> whether front door or entrance at back to basement. <br /> • She will have no more than 2 dogs at a time. <br /> • She will have cages. <br /> • Most dogs will be dropped off and picked up at their home or another location. Some will be <br /> coming to her home. <br /> • Whatever Town requires regarding plumbing downstairs, she will do. <br /> • Would like to do under her own name and have a business. She's been doing dog grooming <br /> for 12 years. <br /> • Proposing to do 2 days per week and 1 Saturday per month. <br /> • When she worked at assisted living in Falmouth they proposed she pick up and groom their <br /> clients' dogs and she would like to offer that service to them. <br /> • She mailed out notification to abutters—one anonymous letter with concerns was received and <br /> one letter of support from neighbor Mary Rose Grady was received. <br />
