Minutes of Meeting of Mashpee Plan Review Committee Held Tuesday, August 16, 2016 Mashpee Town Hall Waquoit Meeting Room Plan Review Members Present: Michael Mendoza, Building Commissioner Andrew McManus, Conservation Agent Glen Harrington, Health Agent Rodney Collins, Town Manager Joel Clifford, Fire Department Catherine Laurent, DPW Director Scott Carline, Police Chief Michael Mendoza called the meeting to order at 9:01 a.m. 27 Ships Rudder Drive, Map 69, Parcel 82. Yvonne M. Sullivan requests a customary home Occupation for a dog grooming business Plan Review under the By-Law 174-251(5) Yvonne Sullivan appeared and said she wrote a letter to explain her care of animals. She commented that: • Will be done in the basement. Whatever Town requires regarding entryway, she will do-- whether front door or entrance at back to basement. • She will have no more than 2 dogs at a time. • She will have cages. • Most dogs will be dropped off and picked up at their home or another location. Some will be coming to her home. • Whatever Town requires regarding plumbing downstairs, she will do. • Would like to do under her own name and have a business. She's been doing dog grooming for 12 years. • Proposing to do 2 days per week and 1 Saturday per month. • When she worked at assisted living in Falmouth they proposed she pick up and groom their clients' dogs and she would like to offer that service to them. • She mailed out notification to abutters—one anonymous letter with concerns was received and one letter of support from neighbor Mary Rose Grady was received.
