Tawn of-Akishpee <br />. y 16 ("lWat;tev foal t �ofth <br />Ct�SCfC��Ci.S£tl� 0 �i'49 <br />MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />APRIL 12, 2017 <br />The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals held Public Hearings on Wednesday, April 12, <br />2017, at 6:00 p.m. in the Popponesset Meeting Room at the Mashpee Town Hall, 16 Great <br />Neck Road North. Chairman, Jonathan D. Furbush, Board Members William A. Blaisdell, <br />Ronald Bonvie, Scott Goldstein, and Associate Members, Brad Pittsley and Norman J. <br />Gould were present. Building Commissioner, Michael Mendoza was also present. <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />NEW HEARINGS <br />11 Black Watch Way: Owner, Cynthia D. Porciello requests a Variance of the side yard <br />setback under § 174-31 of the Zoning Bylaws to allow for construction of a breezeway, den, <br />and a one car attached garage addition on property located in an R-5 Zoning District, Map <br />16 Parcel 60, Mashpee, MA. (Received letterfrom owner dated March 9, 2017 requesting <br />a withdrawal). <br />Mr. Blaisdell read the formal letter of withdrawal from the homeowner into the record. Mr. <br />Furbush made a motion to accept the letter of withdrawal. Mr. Blaisdell seconded, yes, Mr. <br />Bonvie, yes, Mr. Goldstein, yes, and Mr. Pittsiey, yes. All were in favor to accept the <br />withdrawal letter. <br />100 Cayuga Avenue: Owners, Michael and Lisa Cannata request a Variance of the lot <br />frontage under §174-31 (Land Space Requirements) of the Zoning Bylaws to allow for <br />construction of a detached garage on property located in an R-3 Zoning District, Map SS <br />Parcel 23, Mashpee, MA. <br />Mr. Bonvie recused himself from this case. Mr. Gould is also an abutter but signed a <br />disclosure form that was read into the record and filed with the Town Clerk. Chairman <br />Furbush agreed that Mr. Gould could sit in on this hearing. <br />Mr. Michael Cannata and his wife Lisa represented themselves for the proposed project. <br />He said the parcel is located on Johns Pond and has not been touched since 1942 when it <br />was first developed. There's a cottage and a separate detached garage both existing which <br />requires demolition and is not habitable property. Mr. Cannata said he would like to build <br />a new four (4) bedroom home and a one (1) bedroom detached garage. He said he would <br />like to build the garage first and live in the apartment over the garage while they build the <br />main house. <br />1 <br />
