N <br />-� <br />' nh�Its,�w <br />Town o� f': 'lc Bili ee <br />iG CTrccrt ,lick iZ,f�ca�t � �fv��tlt <br />120911pce .'J ossachttsctts02649. <br />MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />JUNE 1, 2017 <br />The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals held a Public Hearing on Thursday, June 1, 2017, <br />at 6:00 p.m. in the Popponesset Meeting Room at the Mashpee Town Hall, 16 Great Neck <br />Road North, Chairman, Jonathan D. Furbush, Board Members William A. Blaisdell, <br />Ronald Bonvie, Dom DeBarros, Scott Goldstein, and Associate Member, Brad Pittsley <br />were present. Building Commissioner, Michael Mendoza was also present. <br />Chairman Furbush opened the meeting at 6:00 pm and is not televised. Sitting in on this <br />meeting is the five (S) regular Board members. <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />37 Center Street: Vote required by the Board of a request received on May 24'.2017 <br />by the homeowner to remove the deed restrictions from a 40B Comprehensive Permit of <br />the master deed titled The Main Street Village, on property (Map 36 Parcel 47 D), <br />Mashpee, MA. (Ohmer of record: Katherine M. McBrien). <br />Present at the meeting was Katie and Paul McBrien, homeowners, Walter Abbott, with the <br />Affordable Housing Committee, and Chris Lindahl, of the Cape Cod Times. <br />Chairman Furbush addressed the attendees and the Board stating that this was a special <br />meeting and is not a regularly scheduled Zoning Board meeting. The meeting was called <br />to respond in a timely manner to the letter from Katherine and Paul McBrien. The letter <br />was received by the Town on May 24, 2017. The letter is asking the Zoning Board to <br />consider modifying the Comprehensive Permit directly associated with the McBrien home <br />at 37 Center Street, Mashpee, MA. The sole purpose of this meeting is for the Board to <br />decide if the request is a substantial or an insubstantial change to the Comprehensive <br />Permit. Chairman Furbush said that the Board is not present to discuss anything else other <br />than the subject such as the merits of the request. The Board will only take testimony on <br />the subject of substantial or insubstantial comments. <br />Scott Goldstein read the request letter from Katie and Paul McBrien dated May 24, 2017 <br />into the record. <br />Katie McBrien addressed the Board and said that she benefitted from the program and said <br />it was substantially beneficial for her because at the time she was a single -mother and at <br />the time could not afford housing. She said she understood the reason.for the meeting as <br />whether or not it is substantial or insubstantial to the entire deed for that entire <br />development. <br />
