Building Commissioner, Michael Mendoza was also
present.
Chairman, Jon Furbush opened the meeting at 6:00 pm and announced that it was being
televised live on Mashpee, TV.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
CONTINUED HEARINGS
27 Uneatena Road: Owners, Michael D. and Angela Madnick request a Written Finding
under § 174-17 (extensions or alterations) and § 174-33 (setback from water and wetlands),
of the Zoning Bylaws to. allow for _installation of a 10 ft. by 10 ft, hot tub on property
located in an R3 Zoning District and the Popponesset Overlay District, Map 123 Parcel 65,
Mashpee, MA.
Mr. Jack Landers-Cauley returned from the last meeting to address a question from one of
the neighbors asking how the hot tub was going to be maintained. Mr. Cauley said at the
previous meeting that he would rescarch and he came up with a design so that there will
not be a direct discharge into the septic system, the wetlands, or across the ground. He
submitted a revised plot plan and an "action plan" that he believes is consistent with the
recommendations of the Board of Health.
Mr. Cauley said they proposed to use a dry well that is sufficiently sized to accommodate
discharge either a portion of the hot tub or as defined in the submitted "action plan" at a
rate that wouldn't overburden the drywell and cause it to overflow.
Chairman Furbush read the Action Plan into the record that was submitted by J.E. Landers-
Cauley to the Board on July 11, 2017. Mr. Furbush said that this action plan was submitted
to the Conservation and Board the Health departments and they do not have any issues.
Mr. Furbush read the comments from both the Board of Health and Conservation into the
record.
Mr. Blaisdell read an updated comment from Conservation, dated July 12, 2017, into the
record.
