Cavossa Disposal Corporation -Board and Review Committee members shared their rankings <br />and agreed that Cavossa's proposal was clear. Board members agreed that Cavossa's experience <br />was in trash collection more so than the operation of a transfer station. There was agreement that <br />Cavossa's proposal focused on truck use rather than use of the rail. Recycling Solutions will also establish an Environmental Sciences <br />Scholarship in the amount of $2,500 per year, to be selected by the Board of Managers. <br />Cavossa Disposal Corporation -Base bid of $5,000 per month plus $20 per ton for all waste <br />generated outside of Barnstable County and $10 per ton for all waste generated within Barnstable <br />County. <br />Saltine Warrior- Base bid of $500 per month and .50 per ton, in excess of 1,000 tons per month <br />Mr. Jack recommended further discussion with individual towns. Mr. Scipione recommended <br />identifying and ranking the proposers to which the Board wished to enter into negotiations. Mr. <br />Scipione stated that, as laid out in the RFP, the contracts would be negotiable and intended to be <br />in the best interest of the Board and of the communities. There was discussion about entering <br />negotiations with Cavossa, contingent upon working cooperatively with Saltine. Mr. Scipione <br />suggested that the Chair request last year's numbers from Saltine, placing the company on hold <br />while entering negotiations with Cavossa. It was also suggested to request additional details <br />from Cavossa regarding their proposal. <br />MOTION: Mr. Tilton made a motion to enter into negotiations at this point with Cavossa <br />Disposal Corporation. Mr. Jack seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. <br />The Chair indicated that she would notify Cavossa Disposal Corporation. Mr. Scipione indicated <br />that he would then follow up with Cavossa regarding the next step and request for a cleaner <br />business plan. No formal action will be taken on Saltine Warrior at this time. Regarding <br />Recycling Solutions, Mr. Scipione recommended thanking them and notifying them that the <br />Board would first be entering negotiations with Cavossa.
