Mashpee Planning Board <br />Minutes of Meeting <br />March 2, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. <br />Waquoit Meeting Room, Mashpee Town Hall <br />Planning Board Members Present: Chairman Mary Waygan, Dennis Balzarini, Joe <br />Cummings, David Kooharian <br />Also Present: Tom Fudala-Town Planner <br />Absent: Robert (Rob) Hansen, George Petersen. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The Town of Mashpee Planning Board meeting was opened with a quorum in the Waquoit <br />Meeting Room at Mashpee Town Hall by Chairman Waygan, at 7;00 p.m. on Wednesday, March <br />2, 2016. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES—January 6, 2016 <br />Mr. Fudala suggested that wording be clarified on page 2, under Environmental Oversight <br />Committee, to better reflect that the amount of $42,500 had been approved to be spent on a <br />study. <br />MOTION: Mr. Balzarini made a motion to accept the minutes of February 3" as <br />amended. Mr. Kooharian seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. <br />SPECIAL PERMITS <br />Discussion regarding whether or not a Special Permit Modification will be required <br />for a site plan change to a golf course water hazard at the Willowbend Country <br />Club <br />Chairman Waygan read the request for the record. Mr. Fudala indicated that the water hazard <br />was located in the older part of the golf course, and not considered in the Cape Cod Commission <br />approval. The applicant wished to rebuild the pond with a sloped edge, replacing the <br />deteriorating wall, The Chair inquired how the Planner would know about the changes if the <br />applicant was not required to come before the Board. Mr. Fudala responded that the applicant <br />would submit the full scale plans. Board members agreed that there was no need for a Special <br />Permit Modification. <br />MOTION: Mr. Balzarini made a motion that there was no need for a Special Permit <br />Modification for a site plan change to a golf course water hazard at Willowbend Country <br />Club. Mr. Kooharian seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />7:10 Hearing regarding re -naming of Winslow's Road to become Winslow Drive <br />Chairman Waygan read the request. Mr. Fudala indicated that Winlsow's Road was located at <br />the entrance to Winslow Farm, however, Winslow Drive had been used by the Post Office, <br />homeowners and the street sign. The 911 Coordinator has requested that the name be changed. <br />All affected have been notified. Mr. Fudala read the request from the 911 Coordinator. There <br />was no public comment. <br />
