Minutes of Combined Meeting of <br />Mashpee Design Review Committee and <br />Mashpee Plan Review Committee <br />Held Tuesday, October 6, 2015 <br />Mashpee Town Hall -- Popponesset Meeting Room <br />Design Review Members Present: Jonathan Furbush <br />Plan Review Members Present: <br />Catherine Laurent, DPW Director <br />Michael Mendoza, Building Commissioner <br />Rodney Collins, Town Manager <br />Tom Fudala, Town Planner <br />Scott Carline – Police Chief <br />Glen Harrington, Health Agent <br />Audience: Carol Sherman – Board of Selectmen <br />Sam Houghton – Mashpee Enterprise <br />Michael Mendoza called the meeting to order at 9:03 a.m. <br />Simons Road/Matthew Drive <br />Southworth Mashpee Properties, LLC-Willowbend <br />Special Permit from Planning Board <br />Adding one new (2) two bay automobile garage and <br />A second (7) seven bay automobile garage. <br />Representative – ,tack McElhinng.-y, Attorney <br />Matt Eddy, Engineer with Baxter Nye Engineering, appeared and stated this proposal would be a <br />modification to Special Permit from Planning Board. He said they propose to add 2 new garage <br />units—identified as Building #4 and Building #5. Matt Eddy said garage going on top of existing <br />parking spaces --adding 7 garage bays and add 2 spaces on lawn so space count the same just <br />making into garage spaces. <br />Matt Eddy said modifications to the site would be relocating 4 existing leach pits for drainage and <br />adding 2 more leach pits; but if existing leach pits are larger than what Plan called for then won't have <br />to add these 2 more. <br />Mike Mendoza questioned how past garage buildings were addressed for 911 purposes. Matt Eddy <br />responded that he was not aware of any address numbers being assigned to the prior 3 garages. <br />Rodney Collins suggested a follow-up with Clay Nicholson would be appropriate to be sure garage <br />location is identified. <br />Tom Fudala asked about the area at the East end. Matt Eddy said the end of the East end parking lot <br />will stay. Matt Eddy said it doesn't interfere with cars backing up. <br />Matt Eddy said snow removal will be same as what was there previously; it will be kept clear. <br />Conclusion: Glen Harrington motioned to approve with condition that the 911 addresses be <br />addressed; Scott Carline seconded the motion; and the motion was unanimously passed. <br />
