Affordable Housing Committee <br />Minutes of Meeting Held Tuesday, July 10, 2001 <br />Mashpee Town Hall — Meeting Room 2 <br />Present: J. Cahalane, L. Botsford, L. Patrick, M. LeClair, A. Weinstein, and or'Ftt ala <br />(Planning). <br />Absent: J, Regan, M. Meijering, Z. Elizenberry, L. Williams, G. Marshall, <br />A quorum being present, Leila Botsford, Chairperson, called the meeting to order at 715 p.m,, It <br />was noted that R. Sherman is no longer a, member of the Committee, <br />Mary LeClair motioned that we keep the same Officers for the next year; this was seconded by <br />John Cahalane; and unanimously approved. Officers are: <br />Leila Botsford — Chairperson <br />John Cahalane — Vice Chairman <br />Louise Patrick — Clerk <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Louise Patrick motioned to accept the minutes of the June 5, 2001,meeting; this was seconded by <br />John Cahalanc; and unanimously approved. <br />Louise Patrick reported that she contacted Kathleen O'Donnell (the individual who conducted <br />the 40B workshop last winter) and asked Kathleen what mechanism is available to assure all 40B <br />proposals go through the Affordable Housing Committee. Answer: There is none, Conclusion: <br />We would not be able to accomplish this, <br />Further, Louise stated that she had checked with Peter Kirwin of Falmouth to ask what they did <br />to identify Affordable Housing as a priority in that town. Peter sent a copy of proposed <br />resolution their Selectmen adopted. He also provided a copy of the Article (Article 67) they took <br />to Falmouth Town Meeting. <br />Leila Botsford advised the Committee that at their last meeting the Housing Authority voted to <br />form a non-profit Affordable Housing Trust. Leila suggested that some of the members of this <br />Committee and/or Town sit on the Board of this Trust. <br />Regarding the 7600 46.00 statute, Leila informed the group that this statute no longer exists. <br />It was deleted. Towns are recommended to follow Executive Order 418, Every year the Town <br />gets a certification from the State. Tom Fudala mentioned that his administrative assistant is <br />handling the Certification renewal process this year, <br />
