Further, the Committee agreed that it should define in a later presentation to the Selectmen the <br />funds appropriation request, together with the needs for the funding—specifically, how and <br />where monies to be spent. Additionally, a request should be made asking the Selectmen to <br />approve a Proposed Resolution to be submitted at Town Meeting. The format of the proposed <br />Resolution will follow the Falmouth Proposed Resolution for Town Meeting document, which is <br />attached to these minutes. <br />Following Selectmen presentations, an Article will be submitted for placement -on the May -2002 <br />Town- Meeting Agenda. <br />FALMOUTH AFFORDABLE HOUSING <br />Louise Patrick informed the Committee that Falmouth has 3 separate bodies -----namely: <br />(1). A Housing Committee; <br />(2) A Housing Task Force; and <br />(3) Falmouth Housing Authority. <br />GRANTS <br />Leila Botsford asked Tom Fudala whether or not the Town has applied for any grants for <br />affordable housing. Tom responded that the Town has not applied for grants since the 1980's. <br />TOWN OF MASHPEE COMPRESENSIVE PLAN – AFFORDABLE HOUSING <br />Tom Fudala mentioned that the Comprehensive Plan is to be updated next year. <br />ACTION ITEMS <br />Louise Patrick will check to find out how Falmouth Task Force was formed. <br />Louise Patrick advised the Committee that Peter Kirwin would attend the September meeting to <br />explain the Falmouth operation to the Committee. <br />Leila stated that after Mr. Kirwin's presentation the Committee should be better able to <br />determine what we specifically want to do with any money we request. <br />NEXT MEETING <br />Tuesday, September 4, 2001, at 7:15 p.m. in Town Hall Meeting Room 1 <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Louise Patrick motioned the meeting be adjourned at 8:15 p.m.; this was seconded by John <br />Cahalan; and unanimously approved. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />n Giliberti <br />ecretary <br />
