We should start "selling" the idea now. John Cahalane reminded the Committee that <br />communicating to the community before Town Meeting is extremely important. It requires a <br />good deal of campaigning and outreach. <br />Following detailed discussions, it was the consensus that getting the word out through the church <br />groups and various clubs (such as Rotary, Kiwanis, Women's Clubs, etc.) may be a good start, <br />Tom Fudala said a developer wants to do 40B project and is, willing to talk about apartments. <br />Tom will ask him to come to the December meeting of this Committee. <br />Louise Patrick motioned that this Committee take on the Bonding Project as an activity of the <br />Affordable Housing Committee. Zella Elizenberry seconded this motion; and it was <br />unanimously approved. <br />Jamie Regan motioned that we put together an outreach program where we can make <br />presentations to inform community through churches, businesses, etc. Zella Elizenberry <br />seconded this motion; and it was unanimously approved, <br />John Cahalane motioned that the Committee put together a budget for the Committee to carry on <br />its work. LaVerne Williams seconded this motion; and it was unanimously approved, <br />Dick Terry, Zella Elizenberry, and LaVerne Williams volunteered to serve on the subcommittee <br />to prepare a proposed budget for the outreach program. <br />Tuesday, November 6, 2001, at 7:15 p.m. in Town Hall Meeting Room 1. <br />Louise Patrick motioned the meeting be adjourned at 8:20 p.m,; this was seconded by Arthur <br />Weinsteim and unanimously approved. <br />5 <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />an Giliberti <br />Secretary <br />
