MASHPEE AFFORDABLE HOUSING COMMITTEE <br />MINUTES 5-4-04 <br />Present: Deb'orah Battles, Jamie Regan, John Cahalane, Zella Elizenberry, Alice, Lopez, <br />L. Patrick, Eric Smith <br />1. <br />Call to Order: Meeting convened at 7:06pm <br />11. <br />a. <br />March 9, April 6, Minutes - approved as corrected <br />b. <br />Zella requests that secretary read two letters into the record. One letter is from Joe <br />Marino, regarding his resignation, the other is from Trudie Ide, asking to become a <br />member of the AHG <br />Motion made that Joe's resignation be accepted with regret, and that a letter of thanks <br />from the committee be sent to him. <br />Another motion was made to accept Trudie as a member of the committee, and sent letter <br />to BOS asking that she be appointed. <br />Both motions were seconded and passed unanimously. <br />III <br />New Business <br />a. <br />Public Forum on housing needs must be changed as it is scheduled for the same day as <br />high school graduation. Committee decided that two alternative dates are June 15, or June <br />22, depending on availability of consultants. Eric will check with McGregor and <br />Associates and let committee members know. <br />Tasks for forum were reviewed: Louise reported that in order for flyers to be sent home <br />with students, the superintendent must approve it, and copies must be made to distribute <br />in each of the classrooms. Members of the committee agreed to help with the copying. <br />Jamie suggested "spicing up" the flyer before distributing it. Eric will do this. <br />John suggested distributing the flyers at town elections on Saturday. Several members of <br />the committee agreed to help with this. <br />Zella made a list of local churches that she distributed to the committee and will send a <br />cover letter and flyer when the final draft is complete. <br />Jamie will contact service organizations and distribute flyers when the final draft is <br />complete. <br />Eric reported that Janice WaIford generously offered to help with refreshments for the <br />forum. <br />b. <br />Status report on Needs Assessment/Action Plan: <br />
