Cemetery Commission <br />October 7, 2015 <br />Members present: Ernest Virgilio, Mike Scirpoli, Charlie Hinckley <br />Others: Rodney Collins, Catherine Laurent <br />The meeting was opened at 4:30 pm at Great Neck Woods Cemetery, 251 Great Neck Road <br />South. <br />Approval of Minutes <br />The minutes from the September 22, 2015 meeting were approved by a vote of 3-0. <br />Decoration of Individual Plots _ Artificial Flowers <br />The Commission approved a recommendation to the Board of Selectmen to amend the rules & <br />regulations for the cemetery as follows: remove the time of year restriction for placement of <br />artificial flowers on plots and add language to clarify authority to remove items that are <br />deteriorated or dead or that interfere with maintenance. The recommendation will be <br />forwarded to the Town Manager for inclusion on the agenda for the November 2"d Selectmen's <br />meeting. <br />FY16 Projects <br />The Commission reviewed locations for additional light posts and additional trash receptacles. <br />The Commission approved adding barrels in Section F and Section G. The Commission <br />discussed installing a light pole at the entrance. Ernie and Charlie will review at night to finalize <br />placement. Catherine noted that there is a bench that had been removed from a park that <br />might be available for installation in the cemetery.
