Collins, Town Manager <br />Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Halpern at 6:30 p.m. <br />Mashpee Town Hall, Waquoit Meeting Room <br />MINUTES <br />Tuesday, November 10, 2015 Regular. Session: <br />Motion wade by Mr. Kaplan to approve the minutes of Tuesday, November 10, 2015 <br />as presented. <br />Motion seconded by Mrs. Buschenfeldt. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 7-0-2. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Mr. Halpern, yes Mr. Kaplan, yes Mrs. Buschenfeldt, yes <br />Mr. Larkin, yes Mr. Lord, yes Ms. Rommelrneyer, abstained <br />Ms. Waygan, yes Mrs. Sherman, yes Mr. Shaw, abstained <br />APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS <br />Public Comment: <br />Tom Fudala, the Town Planner indicated that he is supportive of the Littleford land <br />purchase, property the Town has placed in line for .purchase for decades. It was noted the <br />acquisition of the property as an addition to the Quashnet Woodlands has been in the <br />Town of Mashpee Open Space, Conservation and Recreation Plan for the past ten years. <br />Mr. Fudala also stated the Mashpee Water District in conjunction with the Land Bank <br />previously considered purchasing the property for open space, water supply and <br />protection purposes. It was explained the property lies within an accident protection zone <br />and potential well zone. The assessed value of the subject property in 2003 was <br />$332,600. In 2003, the Town and the Water District made an offer to purchase the <br />property for $400,000. The current asking price is $425,000. In 2014 the assessed value <br />was $570,000. <br />As the Town Planner, the Sewer Commission Chair and member of the Mashpee Water <br />District Commissioners, Mr. Fudala recommended approval of the Littleford property <br />acquisition for the protection of open space. <br />
