The Director reported the two substitute van drivers completed their annual training, as <br />mandated by the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority. She interviewed a candidate for <br />the maintenance training position placed here and paid for by Elder Services of Cape Cod <br />and the Islands Mature Worker's Program. The Director noted she met with several <br />seniors seeking assistance providing coverage for the Outreach Coordinator while she <br />was on vacation and has continued to focus on reorganizing the shared computer drive. <br />The Director reviewed her goals: complete the annual formula grant, complete end of <br />fiscal year budget tasks and train new Mature Worker. <br />Motion: Mary Gaffney moved to accept the Director's Report, seconded by Jack <br />Jordan. Vote unanimous 7-0 <br />TREASURER'S REPORT <br />Director Waterman distributed the budget report and reviewed the budget figures with the <br />members. <br />Motion: Jack Jordan moved to accept the Treasurer's Report, seconded by Jean <br />Noussee. Vote unanimous 7-0 <br />OUTREACH COORDINATOR REPORT <br />Darlene Perkins distributed her report for the month of May. She noted May 15 was the <br />last day to send applications for Fuel Assistance and they helped 40 residents apply for <br />assistance. She attended two trainings: MCOA Outreach Summit presentation covered <br />guardianship, healthcare proxies and conservatorship. She found the guardianship in a <br />Hoarding situation and the AARP presentation on Reimaging Your Life as you enter <br />different stages very interesting. The Second training was on mental illness and aging. <br />There was a discussion on health proxy. <br />Darlene stated there were 16 volunteer rides. She noted she is working with Elder <br />Services of Cape Cod on the nutrition contracts for Meals on Wheels. The Brown Bag <br />Program served 27 seniors. She continues to make referrals for homecare, medical <br />insurance, housing, food and many daily activities to seniors who are struggling to stay <br />sustainable within the community. <br />Darlene continues to meet monthly with volunteers. 13 Mashpee residents turned 90+ <br />and received flowers delivered by a volunteer. Darlene noted the_monthly meetings she <br />attended: VNA, Community Nurse, and two trainings. <br />Motion: Jean Noussee moved to accept the Outreach Coordinator's Report, <br />seconded by Jack Jordan. Vote unanimous 7-0 <br />
