4. Update on Failed Septic System: 87 Lighthouse Lane.
Glen Harrington commented that the septic system at 87 Lighthouse Lane had to be pumped because sewage
was backing up into the house. DeBarros Septic pumped the system and will be reimbursed by the Town of
Mashpee. Engineering has commenced, and BSS Design to will contact the Health Department to schedule a
percolation test.
ADDITIONAL TOPICS
Lucy Burton made a motion that the Board of Health add 42 Wheeler Road to the agenda. Kalliope Egloff
seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously approved.
1. Compliance Review: 42 Wheeler Road.
Mr. Harrington remarked that the original fine of $250 for 42 Wheeler Road was paid. At the last meeting the
Board of Health voted to issue daily fines until the Certificate of Compliance was issued. The engineer returned
his as built card with a plan; however, the installer did not realize the cards needed to be submitted to the
health department. Therefore, the installer was at fault and not the homeowner. Mr. Harrington recommended
that the Board rescind the additional fines and take no further action based upon the payment of the original
$250.
Lucy Burton made a motion that the Board of Health rescind the accruing daily fines for 42 Wheeler Road and
recommend no further action. Kalliope Egloff seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously approved.
DISCUSSION
1.
