Ms. Cook reported that as of 2126115 the balance of the Reserve <br />Account was $95,008,00. <br />• Liaison Reports — Finance Committee <br />Library: Theresa Cook reported her attendance at the latest legislative breakfast on Friday morning, <br />March 6t". State Senator Wolf, State Reps Madden and Vieira were in attendance at the event. <br />School Committee: George Schmidt reported his attendance at the meeting two months ago. There <br />are currently two positions on the committee up for election on the May ballot and no candidates have <br />come forward yet. <br />• Liaison Report — BOS Mike Richardson <br />- Special Education Department at Mashpee High School: sponsoring "Falcon Cafe" on Friday <br />mornings, serving coffee and light breakfast fare. The Cafe has been well received, and is an excellent <br />way to provide job experience in handling receipts, cash register, food preparation, and dealing with the <br />public to students after graduation from high school <br />- Mashpee Honor Dinner. held at the high school in honor of 16 students, 14 of whom registered <br />perfect scores on either the math or English Language Arts portion of the 2014 MCAS exam. Guests <br />were served dinner by the school's teaching, administrative, and office staff. <br />- Waste Management Committee: At the Monday, March 6t", 2015 meeting, committee members <br />agreed that they are not ready to set a deadline for submitting a recommendation to the BOS, as they <br />are still considering the pros and cons of whether the town should adopt Pay -As -You -Throw or continue <br />as handled in the past. More information is needed in order to offer any recommendation. Mike <br />Richardson stated that the goal of the committee is to find a way to dispose of trash at the best price for <br />the town. <br />- Mashpee Cares: Their next meeting is scheduled for March 24'". <br />- Cape Cod Collaborative Wastewater Plan: Encouraging the 15 -member towns on the Cape to <br />work together as continuous partners to develop wastewater plans in their own community for the <br />betterment of the entire Cape. <br />Mashpee TV., Currently under scrutiny for a lack of transparency and financial irresponsibility. Mr. <br />Richardson urged that the Townspeople provide the TV station with any suggestions for programs to be <br />aired on the station. <br />NEXT MEETING <br />The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 6:30 PM, Mashpee Town Hall. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />As there was no further business, George Schmidt made a motion that the meeting be adjourned. <br />Oskar Klenert seconded the motion. Roll Call Vote: Schmidt, yes; Klenert, yes; Cook, yes; Gasior, <br />yes; Murphy, yes; DelPonte, yes. The motion was approved by a vote of (6-0).
