Town of Mash pee <br />16 Great Neck Road .North <br />Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br />FINANCE COMMITTEE - PUBLIC SESSION <br />Mashpee Town Hall — Waquoit Meeting Room 1 <br />Thursday, August 13, 2015 — 6.30 PM <br />Committee Members Present: Absent: Also Present: <br />Christopher Avis, Chairman Charles Gasior Rodney Collins, Town Manager <br />David DelPonte, Vice Chairman John Cotton, BOS Liaison <br />Tom Murphy, Clerk Jeffrey Pettengill, Candidate <br />Theresa Cook Mike Richardson, Candidate <br />Oskar Klenert <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chairman Chris Avis called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM. <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE — Recited. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS — None. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />• Approval of Minutes — 6/18/155 <br />Theresa Cook made a motion that the minutes from the Finance Committee meeting held on <br />Thursday, June 18, 2015 be approved as presented. Oskar Klenert seconded the motion. Rall Call <br />Vote: Avis, yes; DelPonte, yes; Murphy, yes; Cook, yes; Klenert, yes. The motion was approved by a <br />vote of (5-0-1) Gasior absent. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />• Welcome to Town Manager Rodney Collins. <br />Chairman Chris Avis welcomed Rodney Collins to the meeting and congratulated him on his <br />appointment to the position of Mashpee Town Manager. <br />• Welcome to John Cotton, BOS Liaison <br />John Cotton was welcomed to the meeting as the newly appointed BOS liaison to the Finance <br />Committee meetings. <br />• Jeffrey Pettengill: Interview for Finance Committee Vacancy <br />Jeffrey Pettengill introduced himself to the committee, and stated that he was presenting himself for <br />consideration for the opening on the Mashpee Finance Committee. Mr. Pettengill stated that he had <br />become a fulltime Mashpee resident two years ago, and was eager to put his skills and experience to <br />use in serving the community. Mr. Pettengil stated that he had spent his entire career working for the <br />state, 12 years in Maine and 8 years working in the health care industry in Massachusetts. Mr. <br />Pettengill is currently working on a temporary basis as a Financial Analyst. Mr. Pettengill stated that <br />he very much wants to be a part of contributing to the community where he lives. His career path has <br />been all about making sure that the needs of the greater community are financially met. Mr. Pettengil <br />then entertained questions from each of the Finance Committee members. <br />
