School Committee Regular Meeting <br />May 6, 2015 <br />Minutes <br />Present were: Scott McGee, Don Myers, Chris Santos, Joan Oliver and Geoff Gorman. Also present was <br />Brian Hyde, Superintendent of Schools. <br />L Call Meeting to Order <br />Mr. McGee called the meeting to order at 6:30pm. <br />It. Pledge of Allegiance <br />III. *Public Comment <br />Joan Peters Gilmartin spoke to the Committee about the Purple Flag Public <br />Awareness/Education Event. <br />IV. Update from Student Liaison — Frederick Hanna <br />Fred Hanna gave an update on the events at Mashpee High School. <br />V. Update on Quashnet School — Patricia DeBoer <br />Mrs. DeBoer and several of her staff members and students presented an update on the recent <br />events at the Quashnet School, <br />VL Report from Liaison to Board of Selectman — Mike Richardson <br />Mr. Richardson presented an overview on the town events. <br />VII. *Approval of April 1, 2015 Regular Minutes <br />Mr. Gorman made a motion, seconded by Mr. Santos to approve the April 1, 2015 minutes. <br />Roll Call Vote: In favor— Mr. Gorman, Mr. Santos, Mrs, Oliver, Mr. Myers and Mr. McGee; <br />opposed — none. <br />Vlll. Report of the Superintendent <br />8.1 Administration Reports <br />Mr. Hyde reviewed the administration reports with the Committee. <br />8.2 Enrollment <br />KCC-463; QS -526; MMS -265; MHS -452, Total=1709 <br />8.3 Update on Assistant Superintendent Search <br />Mr. Hyde gave an update on the Assistant Superintendent search. <br />Mr. McGee requested that Mr. Hyde's recommendation for the Assistant <br />Superintendent position be added to the agenda. <br />The Committee recommended that this be tabled until the next meeting. <br />1 <br />
