9.2 Personnel Report <br />New Hires-KCC School <br />Coleen LaMontagne, Speech Therapist <br />Ayanna Parent, Adjustment Counselor <br />Nancy Mills, Paraprofessional <br />Elizabeth McQueen, Paraprofessional <br />Kathleen Soltesz, Paraprofessional <br />New Hires — Middle Hi h School <br />Julienne McCuish, Interim Guidance Counselor <br />Retirements <br />Lee Horner, Coombs School <br />9.3 Enrollments <br />KCC-441; QS -507; MS -280; HS -436; Total - 1664 <br />9.4 Update on School Start Time Committee <br />Mr. Hyde spoke about organizing a Start Time Committee to research and report back to <br />the School Committee findings relative to how the change in start times would <br />impact students, staff, parents, school finances and the community as a whole. <br />9.5 Student Assessment Update <br />Mr. Hyde reported to the Committee that in November the State will notify <br />districts as to what type of assessment exams will be used. <br />X. New Business <br />10.1 Use of Narcan in the Schools <br />The school nurses, Stacey Schakel, Joyce O'Connor and Jennifer Moses spoke about the <br />importance of having Narcan in the schools for them to administer in the case of an <br />incident. <br />Mr. McGee made a motion, seconded by Mr. Schmidt to allow nurses to have 1 kit per <br />school of Narcan to train with, and not to authorize them to administer <br />until a policy is in place. <br />Roll Call Vote: In favor Mr. McGee, Mr. Myers, Mr. Santos, Mr. Gorman and Mr. <br />Schmidt; opposed — none. <br />XI. Specifically Unassigned/Unfinished Business <br />Mr. Santos asked the Superintendent to look into the # of recess monitors at the elementary <br />schools. <br />XII. Sub -Committee Reports <br />Mr. Schmidt gave an update to the Committee on the addiction crisis in the State. Mr. Schmidt <br />would like to discuss the concussion policy at a meeting in early January. <br />2 <br />
