School Committee Regular Meeting <br />December 2, 2015 <br />Minutes <br />Present were: Scott McGee, Don Myers, Chris Santos, Geoff Gorman and George Schmidt. Also present <br />was Patricia DeBoer, Acting Superintendent <br />I. Call Meeting to Order <br />Mr. McGee called the meeting to order at 6:36pm <br />II. Pledge of Allegiance <br />II1. Update from Student Liaison — Frederick Hanna III <br />Fred Hanna gave an update on the many events at MHS. <br />IV. MMHS Technology Center of Excellence <br />Sal Nocella, Tech Ed teacher, along with several students demonstrated projects that the <br />students created at the Technology Center of Excellence. <br />V. Update on Assessment Data <br />Mr. Balestracci highlighted the test results for Grades 7, 8 and 10. <br />Mrs. O'Brien presented an update on the test results for the Quashnet School. <br />VI. Narcan Policy <br />6.1.1 *Draft Narcan Policy—second read and vote <br />Mr. Schmidt made a motion, seconded by Mr. Santos to approve the narcan policy as <br />written with the recommended change suggested by Mr. Myers. <br />Roll Call Vote: In favor-- Mr. Schmidt, Mr. Gorman, Mr. Santos, Mr. Myers and Mr. <br />McGee; opposed — none. <br />VII. Public Comment <br />Community Member Dick Nelson spoke in support of Brian Hyde. <br />Mashpee parent Dr. Robert Flaherty spoke in support of Brian Hyde. <br />VIII. *Approval of Meeting Minutes <br />8.1 *Regular Meeting — November 18, 2015 <br />Mr. Schmidt made a motion, seconded by Mr. Myers to approve the November 18, 2015 <br />minutes. <br />Roll Call Vote: In favor — Mr. Schmidt, Mr. Santos, Mr. Myers and Mr. McGee; <br />abstained- Mr. Gorman. <br />8.2 *Emergency Meeting — November 5, 2015 <br />Mr. Schmidt made a motion, seconded by Mr. Gorman to approve the minutes of <br />November 5, 2015. <br />Roll Call Vote: In favor — Mr. Schmidt, Mr, Gorman, Mr, Santos, Mr. Myers and Mr. <br />McGee; opposed -- none. <br />
