10 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> April 6, 2015 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Correspondence from Paul Niedzwiecki—Designation of Waste Treatment Management <br /> ABX: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb recused himself from this matter as he is involved with the Cape Cod <br /> Commission and with the preparation of meeting agendas. <br /> Correspondence was received from Paul Niedzwiecki dated March 25, 2015 relative to the <br /> Section 208 Plan and the designation of waste treatment management agencies,or WMAs <br /> capable of implementing the Plan. <br /> The Commission in an effort to answer any remaining questions and to provide an opportunity <br /> for feedback prior to the designation of the 15 Cape towns as WMAs has scheduled a series of <br /> three meetings. It is recommended that each town appoint up to seven members to participate in <br /> the discussions. <br /> The topics for each meeting include; <br /> Principles for establishing allocation of nitrogen responsibility <br /> Developing watershed scenarios <br /> Organization and institutional structures <br /> The make-up of the committee was considered. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to appoint the following membership to the Mashpec <br /> Waste Treatment Management Agency; <br /> The Town Manager or designee Tom Mayo,Selectman Michael Richardson, <br /> Sewer Commission Chairman Tom Fudala,the Director of Public Works Catherine <br /> Laurent,the Sewer Plan Advisor Geoff Gregg,and possibly Andrew Marks from the <br /> Mashpee Water District. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Richardson. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0-1. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Taylor,yes Selectman Richardson,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes <br /> Selectman Gottlieb, abstained Opposed, none <br /> The first meeting will be held on April 16fl'at 9:00a.m. Falmouth Public Library.
