F�ys� Town of Mashpee <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts 0. 649 <br /> BOARD OF SEWER COMMISSIONERS <br /> MashpeeTown Half Waquoit Meeting Room 1 <br /> Tuesday, July 14, 2015 <br /> Board Members Present: Also Present: <br /> Tom Fudala, Chairman Paul Gobell, Sewer Commission Administrator <br /> Joe Lyons, Vice Chairman Jeff Gregg, GHD <br /> Mark Gurnee, Clerk Rick York, Shellfish Commissioner <br /> Tom Burns <br /> Glenn Santos <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chairman Tom Fudala called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. <br /> CAPE COD COMMISSIONIMEPA Joint Review Public Hearing <br /> Tom Fudala opened the meeting by introducing Ernest Virgilio, Chairman of the Cape Cod <br /> Commission subcommittee who conducted a Public Hearing regarding the Final Environmental <br /> Impact Report/Development of Regional Impact Report for the Mashpee Comprehensive <br /> Wastewater & Nitrogen Management Plan (CWMP). <br /> At 7:30 PM the Cape Cod Commission adjourned their Public Hearing, and Tom Fudala re-opened <br /> the Sewer Commission meeting. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES: June 18, 2015 <br /> One correction was made to the 6/18115 minutes. <br /> Joe Lyons made a motion that the 6118115 minutes be approved as corrected. Tom Burns <br /> seconded the motion. Roll Call Vote: Tom Burns, yes; Joe Lyons, yes; Mark Gurnee, yes; Tom <br /> Fudala, yes; Glenn Santos abstained. The motion was approved by a vote of(4-0-1) with one <br /> abstention. <br /> STATUS OF FINAL PLAN GOING FORWARD <br /> Jeff Gregg stated that comments received from the public hearing would be addressed and closed <br /> by the end of July. The certificate should be issued sometime in August. Tom Fudala stated that <br /> the next regularly scheduled Sewer Commission meeting would be August 201h, but could be <br /> changed if necessary. <br /> Rick York stated that shellfish plans are ongoing, with two grants pending, to be decided later this <br /> summer. A third $750,000 grant is pending through the National Estuarine Research Reserve <br /> System/Collaborative Program to work on quahog restoration in Waquoit Bay, specifically in East <br /> Waquoit Bay. <br /> 1 <br />
