Vote: Unanimous in favor of approval. <br /> Shellfish Constable's Report: <br /> The Town of Barnstable released 100,000 bay seed in Popponesset Bay <br /> earlier last year, but could not find any when they looked later. <br /> We applied for a funding from the National Marine Fisheries Service <br /> Saltonstall-Kennedy grants to create oyster reefs in Popponesset Bay. <br /> The Conservation Commission hearing on the proposed bridge to <br /> Gooseberry Island that would displace shellfish habitat is scheduled for 1-2215. <br /> New Business: <br /> Propagation 2015 - The plan is for 2,200 bags of remote set oyster seed, <br /> one million quahog seed, and 100,000 bay scallop seed. 2,000 oyster seed <br /> bags would be purchased with the Community Preservation funds, and 200 with <br /> Barnstable County Cooperative Extension funds. The quahog and oyster seed <br /> would be Town propagation funds. <br /> Comprehensive Watershed Nitrogen Management Plan (CWNMP) - We <br /> have drafted responses to the comments from the State Secretary of Energy and <br /> Environmental Affairs upon issuance of the EIR Certificate for our plan. <br /> Recommendation for appointment of Associate Shellfish Commissioner- <br /> Mashpee resident and Dennis Deputy Shellfish Constable Brian Everett <br /> expressed interest in becoming a member of the Mashpee Shellfish Commission. <br /> York - Motion to recommend appointment Brian Everett as Associate Shellfish <br /> Commissioner. Holmes - second.
