M.ASHPEE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT COMMTTEE MINUTES <br /> SEPTEMBER 16, 2010 <br /> Present: Bob Wooldridge, Charles Maintanis, Maria�I rt ri ii , M rt Sailers, Heidi McLaughlin, <br /> Terrie Cook. Absent: Bev Wooldridge, Trish Parlski, Mau-ilyn Farren, Bill Dundn. <br /> The meeting was called to order at 2PM at Mashee Town Hall. <br /> The Minutes of July 8, 2010 were moved and accepted by roll call vote. <br /> The +7-year action plan for addressing the accessibility shortcomings were identified in the <br /> Planning Department Accessibility Report. Updates were addressed with Heidi McLaughlin, <br /> Recreation Department. Lighting/upgrades at the tennis courts at the high school and Quashnet, <br /> ballield expansion, basketball court renovation, playground accessibility were just some of the <br /> few cited. These issues will be addressed with DPW and Brad Tripp, Building Manager. <br /> Parking spaces are needed at Conservation Trails. Grant allocations depend on bringing <br /> recreational areas up to accessible standards. Heidi, now being updated, will pass along this <br /> information to the project manager. <br /> Bob and Terrie have or intend to talk to several banks: Eastern, CC , Sovereign, Rockland about <br /> contributions for the Mbi mat and beach Meek. Maria suggested using the Hull veterans <br /> Council Assistance Fund as a model. Bob and Heidi met with Nancy white from O'Brien & <br /> Sons of Medfield. They reviewed the South Cape Beach site, and the actual quote was $6,919. <br /> Where have been some resident complaints received about local businesses and public restroom <br /> access. Some restroms need to be brought up to AAB codes and standards if used by the <br /> public. <br /> Don Megathalin has made some adjustments for handicap spaces at South Cape village. The <br /> Marshall's van accessible placard is not done. Olympia Sports access aisle has not met <br /> requirements. Charlie will follow up on this. <br /> Bob provided the ISD -page report with updates to the ADA. <br /> Preparations for the October Town Meeting and Octoberfest are under way. Bob will follow up <br /> with Kathleen Moore on the particulars. Terrie and Wayne Taylor are taping the warrant. <br /> Bob reminded the Committee to sign the Conflict ofInterest statement annually. <br /> The meeting schedule for 2011 will be every other month beginning in January. <br /> Perhaps, a discussion with Wayne Taylor re: CPC Funds can occur in the near future. <br /> CORD is having an open house Saturday, 9/18/10 rom 11 1 1-IPM. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 3:20PM with a roll call vote in favor. <br /> i 6i <br /> Mary G rpe, Recur ng ecretary <br />
