E <br /> TOWN OF MASIIPEE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT COMMITTEE MINUTES <br /> JULY 9, 2009 <br /> Members present: Bob Wooldridge, Beverly Wooldridge, William Dundon, Charles Maintanis, <br /> Marilyn Farren, Mert Sapers, Theresa Cook, Selectman Liaison. (Absent: Trish Parolski). <br /> The meeting was called to order at 2:00 p.m. at Town Hall, Room 2. <br /> Minutes: The Minutes of May 14, 2009 were moved by Bill Dundon, seconded by Marilyn <br /> Farren. Unanimous. <br /> Re-Appointments and Reor ani atian: Members signed the Town Hall roster book for another <br /> term. Members were in agreement to keep the current officers. Charlie moved, Bill seconded. <br /> Unanimous. <br /> School Department Replacement: Now that Patricia Lugo has resigned, a replacement from the <br /> School Department will be needed. Since Terrie is a liaison to the School Committee, she <br /> offered to send a letter to Chairperson Richard Bailey asking him for a recommendation for the <br /> open vacancy. Bob will send a letter to Trish Lugo,thanking her for her services. <br /> It was noted that Brad has been moved to the DPW department, and that we go through the DPW <br /> for everything related to school maintenance. <br /> The Committee was asked to think about senior class projects for September, i.e. playground <br /> review. <br /> Beach Access Project: Charlie was complimented for doing a great job on this project. A <br /> newspaper article covered the project and the fund-raising aspect for the boardwalk. We need to <br /> meet with Joyce Mason to arrange the details to have the Boardwalk Fund on the Town's web <br /> site. Solicitations can be made to the local banks,Kiwannis, supermarkets, etc. Bob, Bev, and <br /> Bill agreed to help with solicitations. A letter to the editor can name the patrons of this project. <br /> Terrie volunteered to handle the programs for the dedication ceremony. Mert will talk to the <br /> Mashpee Men's Club. <br /> Accessibility Report. There are things to put on our"To Do"List from the Report that the <br /> Committee endorsed on May 14, 2009. This needs to be updated with the purchase of new land <br /> on Rte. 130. We will look to see if there are any access issues in the Recreational areas that are <br /> named in the Report. We need to visit the Report often. <br /> South Cabe Viltage_The changing of Joy Street did not pass with the Planning Board. Had it <br /> passed, it would have mitigated some parking problems. The developer TallanPeooperated and <br /> worked toward changing Joy Street. <br /> Mashgee Pops: The one-day liquor license is dependent upon the same set up and arrangement <br /> as last year. Bob will talk to Jim Vaccaro. <br /> Next Meeting: September 10, 2009,2:00 p.m. <br />
