How this would affect Includ g an automatic handicapped accessible door in <br /> the proposal is mown. Tyrie will discuss the door issue with Brad Tr' <br /> Subsequently,Ira me .tio ed the discussion of the door made him realize the door issue <br /> reeds serious study. For example, for security poses,the outer doors at the main <br /> entrance to the high school., including the automatic door,-have been-loe-ked. Charlie reminded us the multiple uses of the schools requires <br /> .attention to the restrooms and thresholds. <br /> The committee discussed the need to insure town officials include the need for closed <br /> captioning capability on the local access channel (Channel I when negotiating the new <br /> contract with COMC A S T. Mert commented that the sound quality of televised meetings <br /> is terrible. He has agroat dead of trouble following the discussion. (Note: So do I, In <br /> addition to the sound quality,meeting participants often compound the problem'by not <br /> speaking into their microphones, several speaking at once, distracting aside remarks, etc. <br /> Terrie will discuss with Joyce and will see that the subject is placed on the Selectmen's <br /> "bolder"list. <br /> Charlie passed out copies of an announcement and application for a Community Access <br /> Monitor training session scheduled for April 25 &26 in I uxbury. All interested persons <br /> are encouraged to attend hese valuable sessions that are designed to provide the expertise <br /> necessary to advise on architectural and construction requirements necessary for <br /> compliance with the federal and state ADA regulations. It was suggested the' lanning <br /> Department/Board, Planning and Construction Committee, Fire Department, Police <br /> Department and TRIAD be made aware of this opportunity. <br />
